The town of Belabre is situated in the Parc
Naturel Regional Du La Brenne with over 1500 lakes. The area is
ideal for cyclists, walkers, families and people looking for a retreat.
It is also home to an amazing diversity of wildlife and is very
popular with bird watchers. Belabre is largely undiscovered by the
English and the warm welcome you receive from the locals is unprecedented. The charm of the Village is all year round from glorious temperatures in the summer months to the gentle sprint and autumnal weather through to the sharper months of winter.
From Coin des Eaux a short walk up a pretty street finds you in the main square with a supermarket, bank, a butcher, a charcuterie, three bread shops and a restaurant where a four course meal to a most excellent standard with cost you from 11 Euros about £7.00!
